  • Yes, I offer in-person sessions in my office in Lakewood.

  • All sessions are 50 minutes in length. The session rate is $100 for individuals and $120 for couples. I believe strongly that all people deserve the right to mental health services, and I do retain a percentage of the spaces in my practice for reduced-fee services.

Insurance: I am not currently paneled with any insurance companies and work on a private pay basis. However, many insurance plans offer “out of network” benefits for those that would like to get reimbursement for their care. I am happy to provide the documentation necessary for you to submit to request for reimbursement for our sessions. Please consult your individual insurance policy regarding your benefits.

  • I am a Christian who believes we have a loving God who is present in our wounds and in our healing. I believe a yearning to connect is knitted into our souls. I affirm the importance of your faith perspective for mental health. You may wish to incorporate faith into your sessions. If not, there will be no coercion on my part to discuss or disclose any matter of religion or spirituality. I welcome clients of all faiths.

  • The first session primarily focuses on gathering information, establishing a connection, and setting a foundation for future work together. I want you to feel comfortable expressing your thoughts and goals. We will discuss my approach to therapy and what you can expect from the process. You will have the opportunity to share what brought you to therapy. I will ask you to explore your expectations for therapy and what you hope to acheive. I will want to know what feels comfortable for you. We will cover logistics like frequency, duration, policies, and payment. It is common to feel a mix of emotions during your first session. I welcome you to share these feelings with me.

  • The duration of therapy can vary widely depending on individual needs and goals. The pace of progress can vary from person to person. Some clients may find relief and solutions quickly, while others may take longer to work through their feelings and challenges. Major life events or changes in circumstances can impact the length of therapy. Some individuals may choose to continue therapy for ongoing support or personal growth even after achieving their initial goals. Others might feel ready to conclude therapy once they have the tools and strategies to manage their challenges independently. The goal is to ensure that you feel supported and equipped to handle challenges, whether that requires a few sessions or a longer commitment.

  • A Good Faith Estimate is a document that I am required to give clients to provide an estimate of the expected costs associated with care. This aims to create transparency in healthcare costs and help clients anticipate and plan for the expenses. If you have any uncertainties or need clarification about the costs, feel free to ask me at any time.

  • I accept credit cards, HSA cards, checks, and cash as payments for services. Most clients choose to pay by credit card and payment is charged at the time of service. Sessions that are cancelled outside of my 24 hour cancellation period may be charged for a full session fee.
